Progressive limited face-to-face classes approved!

The Local Government Unit together with the Department of Education of Santa Ana visited Holy Cross College to inspect its readiness for the progressive limited face-to-face classes, June 28.

Mrs. Marites Franco, Municipal Risk Reduction and Management Officer (MDRRMO) and IATF Officer of Santa Ana with Mrs. Edna Pineda, Department of Education District Supervisor of Santa Ana commend the preparedness and strict implementation of health protocols of the school.

“Based on the School Safety Assessment Tool (SSAT) we would like to congratulate Holy Cross College you are now 100 percent ready for the progressive expansion of the limited face-to-face classes,” said Mrs. Pineda.

The school placed a mobility plan and health guidelines to ensure the safety of students while they go back personally to learn, meet their teachers and classmates, and experience the campus life again.

Well renovated classrooms, school grounds, and facilities await students for the Academic Year 2022-2023.

HCC President, Mr. Elmer Nucum assisted officials from the LGU and presented the school facilities and readiness of employees to accommodate learners. The visitors inspected the triage area, holding area, and isolation area, these are said to be critical areas to solve the health concerns of students.

“Tinatanong ko how can you address, identify who are vulnerable and paano malaman yung situation ay ganito ang scenario. Nakita ko lahat sa preparation and in fact sa markings and flow chart well explained, natutuwa ako. Congratulations,” said Mrs. Franco.

DepEd Order No. 17 Series 2022

The school preparation is in accordance with the DepEd Order No. 017 Series 2022, The Guidelines for the progressive expansion of face-to-face classes. This includes the shared responsibility of the schools, families, LGU and concerned government agencies. This mandates the safe operations, teaching and learning, and well-being and protection of the learners and their community.

In addition to the mobility plan and health protocols, the school arranged a communication strategy, contingency plans, and school-community coordination to ensure the teaching and learning in HCC is safe.

Holy Cross College vows to ensure the safety of students and teachers during the delivery of quality education by following appropriate instructions and guidelines. The school is soon to open the new academic year on July 18.
