Education under the new normal

Here at Holy Cross College safety of the students is our primary concern. This is why the IBED implemented Blended Learning, under which there are two modalities: Online Distance Learning (ODL) and Modular Distance Learning (MDL)

The students learn in the comfort of their own homes. Still, teachers and advisers are hands-on. Our instructors make use of different media platforms to communicate with the students and parents. These include Facebook messenger, email, phone calls and/or text messages. Through these, our teachers can closely monitor the students’ performance.

We also have our own e-Learning Management System, the HCC Heart Cloud.

Holistic Development

Even from a distance, we make sure our students get the best quality of education. But HCC is more than just about academics. We also bring out the talents of our students. Over the years, we have clinched the title of Overall Champion in the East Zone Athletic Meet. Our students have also bagged the gold during the Cluster IX Press Conference.

We have the following extra-curricular activities for Crucians:

  • Intramurals (Sports Competitions)
  • Festival of Talents
  • Annual Indoor Camping (BSP & GSP)
  • HCC Founding Anniversary Celebration (Krus Festival)
  • Celebration of the Linggo ng Wika

Our school directors, administrators, staff and teachers guide our students to also uphold and live up to the core values of Holy Cross College,

  1. Fides (Faith). We conduct recollections for both students and faculty members. We also have our regular First Friday mass and catechisms. During the pandemic, these activities are still being done virtually. Our Christian Living Education subjects will also help in the religious formation of our students.
  2. Caritas (Charity). We instill in the students the value of giving and helping others .We have values integration in their lessons in all subject areas. Holy Cross College also organizes charity activities, most notably the Caritas Pantry, Caritas on Wheels and Caritas Drive-thru.
  3. Libertas (Liberty). It is our goal to help our students for to excel in all aspects of life. We encourage them to join in any recognized academic clubs and interest club to further enhance their talents, build self-confidence and develop social awareness.

Holy Cross College boasts state-of-the-art facilities, which are maintained even if classes are held virtually. Take a sneak peek of our school or come with us on a virtual tour around the school with a heart.
