Concepcion, LPT, MBA, Program Chair, and Dean of the School of Business and Accountancy, imparted invaluable insights during the webinar on January 24, stating, “Your capabilities have the power to flourish and shape the landscape of your professional futures.” She emphasized that an individual’s potential is not merely a destination; it is a path toward success.
The webinar, titled “Awakening Your Potential: A Journey to Personal Growth and Development,” was organized by Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) Officers and attended by 135 3rd-year students from BSA, BSAIS, and BSBA. It aimed to serve as a guide, providing useful ideas and practical tactics for unlocking inner potential and initiating personal development.
Michael L. Sibug, MPA, MA, the keynote speaker, outlined a three-step journey: exploring self-awareness, discovering approaches for fulfilling potential, and achieving profound personal growth. He stressed the importance of presenting oneself professionally, emphasizing self-care through skincare, the right accessories, and corporate attire, all of which contribute to overall well-being and directly impact one’s ability to pursue goals. Remember, taking care of yourself is a necessity, not a luxury.
Sibug guided attendees on how to approach the process of discovering and activating inner potential to embark on a personal growth journey. “Awaken your full potential through power. Stretch your mind through new experiences. Mold it into something you can be proud of. There are infinite possibilities to explore your potential in ways you never thought possible,” he highlighted. This involves self-reflection, identifying strengths, exploring passions, setting goals, and embracing the transformative power of purpose.
