JHS is back to school

HOLY CROSS COLLEGE opened its gate for the Junior High School students (JHS) last August 1m 2022 for the School Year 2022-2023, the official start of the limited face-to-face class for the students.

The school with the heart ensures its students with utmost health priority. Students as they enter the gate are greeted with hand washing stations, temperature checkups, and a holding area for people with a body temperature that exceeds 37 degrees celsius.

After entering the gates, the students follow a green arrow marking to guide them to their respective classrooms to wait for their first-period teacher for their psycho-social orientation. There are green and red arrows all over the school as a guide for the students wherever they want to go when necessary. These green and red arrows make it easy to follow the mobility plan presented beforehand.

Social Distancing

Students are divided into two sets – morning and afternoon classes. Inside the classrooms, junior high schools are seated one seat apart with health precautions such as wearing face masks. They are only allowed to remove their masks during break time while eating. They are also advised to avoid talking to their classmates for their safety and precaution, for bathroom breaks a maximum of two students can go out one at a time.

After the last subject, teachers dismiss the students as they proceed to exit the classroom in an orderly manner following the red arrow markings to guide them to the gates.

At present, both the students and teachers are trying their best to adapt to the new mode of expanded limited face-to-face learning after two years. As reported, if covid cases continue to decline, everyone at school can expect full-blown face-to-face learning by November.
