VISION
The Holy Cross College Safety and Protection Division envisions a community where all members are safe and sound.
MISSION
The Holy Cross College Safety and Protection Division aims for the welfare and protection of all students, teachers and employees and their responsiveness and alertness to emergency situations.
The goals of the division are:
- Safeguard the protection of all members of the HCC family.
- Establish a child-protection program
- Support the college in its work of ensuring proper discipline and student management procedures.
The objectives of the division are:
- Protect children from violence, exploitation, abuse and neglect
- Conduct training of fire prevention and emergency preparedness
- Maintain grounds and building integrity in response to emergency situations
- Develop and promote effective working relationships with other agencies, especially with the police and social services
- Provide systematic means of monitoring, recording and reporting concerns and cases
- Equip children with life-saving skills for their own safety
We provide the following services to the HCC community:
- Covid-19 information dissemination
- Enforcement of health and safety protocols at the school entrance
- Monitoring of school security
- Online consultation for victims of child abuse and bullying, with the Guidance and Counselling Office
- Online instruction of earthquake drill
- Online instruction of fire prevention
- Cooperation with law enforcement agencies
- Coordination with community and municipal leaders
