Holy Cross College continues to uphold its commitment to delivering quality education as proven by the institution’s impressive performance in the recent Licensure Examination for Teachers or LET held in September 2023.
The school achieved exceptional passing rates, significantly surpassing the national averages. For first-time takers of the Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, HCC secured a remarkable 76.19% passing rate, notably higher than the national passing rate of 47.01%. In the Bachelor of Secondary Education category, HCC also excelled attaining an impressive 82.67% passing rate for first-time takers, surpassing the national passing rate of 56.26%.
Michelle Pelayo, now a licensed teacher mentioned that all the lessons she learned during her stay at Holy Cross College are worth it. But the journey towards her license is difficult but her professors motivated and cheered them to continue and achieve their dreams.
“There are many times po talaga na sukong-suko na ako at ayaw ko na mag-review. Nakakapagod at ang hirap kasi hindi naman ako ganoon katalinuhan pero talaga kailangan ng determination and effort also consistency sa pag-review,” Pelayo said.
“Iyong mga teachers ko are very approachable and friendly… I can always rely on them… Mga pangalawang ina na namin sila dito sa HCC, maraming salamat po sa walang sawang suporta sa aming mga students,” she added.
HCC’s strong performance in the LET stays still as previously, in the March 2023 LET exam, the institution achieved an 82.35% passing rate for first-time takers in Elementary Education, with an overall passing rate of 66.67% and a national passing rate of 40.76%. The secondary education teachers secured a 75% average for first-time takers, with an overall passing rate of 54.90% and a national passing rate of 46.94%.
These remarkable achievements reflect HCC’s unwavering commitment to providing high-quality education and producing exceptional educators equipped to make a positive impact in the field of education.
