Under the leadership of Mrs. Arliza M. Reyes, the IBED Principal, the Junior High School Department (JHS) has successfully maintained its PEAC-Certified Status. The Certificate of Recognition was awarded on August 8, 2024, at the Orchids Garden in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
According to the PEAC, “certified status” means that an ESC-participating school has complied with all Department of Education (DepEd) standards, adheres to applicable DepEd policies, and meets the requirements of the self-study procedure prescribed by the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) National Secretariat ESC Certification Unit.” Maintaining a PEAC-Certified Status ensures that our JHS remains part of the Educational Service Contracting (ESC) Program of the Department of Education. The DepEd has commissioned the PEAC to establish a quality assurance certification mechanism to confirm that ESC-participating private junior high schools comply with DepEd’s standards for recognition.
As part of the rigorous certification process, JHS must submit documentation and evidence of compliance in nine key areas: (1) school philosophy, vision, mission, goals, and objectives; (2) curriculum, assessment, and instruction; (3) instructional leadership; (4) faculty; (5) academic support and student development services; (6) physical plant and instructional support facilities; (7) administration and governance; (8) school budget and finances; and (9) institutional planning and development. Additionally, providing proof of compliance with the school’s Program Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives (PVMGO) was a critical aspect of this thorough recertification.
The certification process began on October 11, 2023, at HCC, reflecting the school’s commitment to maintaining high educational standards. The next recertification is scheduled for the 2027-2028 school year.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our IBED teachers, administrators, and SASD personnel who worked tirelessly to ensure that our school continues to meet the highest standards of education.
