HCC ready to fly on August 3

Just a few more days and college classes will begin soon at Holy Cross College amid the pandemic.
HCC President, Atty. Dennis Pangan and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Leticia Flores, fast-tracked the editing and printing of modules to deliver them ahead of the opening of classes. After more than five months of preparation, the school with a heart is more than ready to give quality and accessible education. The management started distributing the modules to students who chose remote and offline learning last July 30. This module is free of charge and will be delivered to their doorstep every two weeks.
The Learning Management System (LMS) is equipped to hold online classes because of its easy and user-friendly features. After several pilot testing the live server of the HCC Heart Cloud did not bog down, this proved its capacity.
“For students who chose the online mode of learning, they undergo training for our Learning Management System (e-LMS). We will see on Monday, August 3 how easy and affordable to have classes here at Holy Cross College. That is why we call this the new better normal not just new normal,” President Pangan said.
All enrolled students in HCC will be given a user account on the LMS to access it anytime they can connect to the internet. The school will not limit the students to learn via module, they will always have a choice to shift to online.
The president also sends his heartfelt gratitude to all the students and parents for choosing Holy Cross College amid the pandemic.
“Thank you for believing in us that education should not be delayed just like what Emilio Jacinto said ‘hinding-hindi mo maibabalik ang panahon nasasayang,” he added.
The school administration prepared the modular and online learning to continue the education of the youth even though face-to-face classes are suspended.
President Pangan reiterated they are willing to follow the government’s directive to ensure the health and safety of the student and employee.
He added that HCC Heart Cloud will be utilized properly to reach students and give them the education they need during the crisis.
